Here is the afternoon advisory from the Bermuda Weather Service for Hurricane Gaston, Tropical Depression Eight and Tropical Depression Nine
HURRICANE GASTON (95kts): moving very slowly North, and we continue to wait for its acceleration away to the North East under westerly flow as a ridge builds to the South of Gaston. Medium to high confidence remains in this regard, it is just WHEN this will happen. Decaying Easterly swells continue to affect the South Shore.

TROPICAL DEPRESSION EIGHT (30 knots): remains a tropical depression to 442 nautical miles to our West. Expected to intensify into a tropical storm in the next day or so as it approaches Cape Hatteras. BWS will continue to monitor closely as it is expected to recurve back out over the Atlantic later this week as it engages with a front. However, latest indications hold it around 400 nautical miles to the NNW of Bermuda by this Thursday morning.

TROPICAL DEPRESSION NINE (30 knots): located just North West of Cuba. Expected to intensify into a tropical storm later today as moves North West across the Gulf of Mexico. Then expected to recurve North East towards North Florida by the middle of this week. Thereafter, it is forecast to move offshore into the Atlantic and track ENE to the North of Bermuda. With some uncertainty in exactly how close it tracks by Bermuda as it passes by to our North; BWS will also be closely monitoring this system.
