"Empowering our youth to choose respect is essential to building a community where every individual feels valued and safe. Recent tragedies have reminded us how deeply violence impacts our young people and the wider community. Throughout the week, the TOYA team has visited schools across the island, leading assemblies that drive home the #ChooseRespect theme. Events like these are critical starting points, helping our youth recognize and address bullying behavior, cultivate empathy, and find constructive paths forward. This work is about breaking cycles and ensuring that young people feel equipped and supported in making positive choices." - The Hon. Tinee Furbert, Minister of Youth, Social Development and Seniors.
The Office of Youth Affairs (TOYA) invites members of the media and the public to join us at City Hall for the grand finale of Bermuda’s Anti-Bullying Week on Friday, November 15th, from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
