Celebrating Heritage Month 2025, ‘The Future is Now’

As we are almost halfway through Heritage Month 2025, the Department of Culture would like to remind and encourage the community to continue to partake in Bermuda’s rich heritage. A plethora of historic, cultural, and entertainment events will continue to take place this Heritage Month, courtesy of Bermuda’s creative community.

This year’s Heritage Month theme is ‘The Future is Now’, and signature events to come that are being supported by the Department of Culture include:

  • Lost Links: Uncovering Bermuda’s Native American Connections through Archaeology- May 15
  • Bermuda Day Parade- May 23
  • The Chewstick Foundation Open Mic Jam Session- May 25
  • Heritage Month Yoga Series- Makerspace Cedarbridge Academy- Saturdays in May
  • Plus a whole host over other exciting events

Minister of Tourism & Transport, Culture & Sport, the Hon. Owen Darrell, JP, MP, said, “Heritage Month continues to be one of the most cherished times of the year, as we honour the rich culture, traditions, and spirit that makes us proud to call Bermuda home.

“I look forward to embracing the vibrant energy of our Heritage throughout the rest of May, especially on Bermuda Day, which we’ll celebrate together on Friday, May 23rd.”
