"The dedication and creativity displayed by all the participants are truly inspiring," remarked Lt. Col. the Hon. David A. Burch, OBE (Mil), ED, JP, MP, following his inspection of the Botanical Gardens today, ahead of tomorrow's kick-off of the 83rd Annual Agricultural Exhibition.
The three-day show will run from Thursday, 18 April through Saturday, 20 April, with gates open daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Minister Burch reviewed several of this year's entries during his walkabout, accompanied by representatives from the Department of Parks and the Ministry of Public Works.
The Minister was impressed with the diverse showcase, including plants, rabbits, chickens, traditional Bermudian baked goods, handmade kites, and arts and crafts, including woodwork.
Minister Burch added: "I want to thank the Department of Parks again and all the volunteers and judges who play a crucial role in bringing this exhibition to life. I am confident this year's show will be another success."
Please note, to ensure the safety and smooth running of the event, dogs will be prohibited from the Botanical Gardens grounds starting from 6 p.m. today, 17 April, until 6 a.m. on Sunday, 21 April.
