The Bermuda Post Office’s (BPO) Philatelic Bureau is pleased to announce the release of a commemorative $35 Stamp, to mark the Coronation His Majesty King Charles III.
Bermuda’s stamp is the first to be issued within the Commonwealth or the Overseas Territories, and is the highest denomination of any stamp depicting King Charles III to date.
The stamp is currently available for purchase and will be on sale from all post offices and sub post offices.
Purchase of the commemorative stamp is also available online at https://philatelic.bermudapost.bm/. The BPO notes that in anticipation of HM King Charles III Coronation in May, another special commemorative stamp will be released as part of the weekend of celebratory events.
As a reminder, last month it was announced that May 8, 2023, will be a public holiday in honour of the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III.
Coronation Weekend will include the following observances:
Saturday, 6th May 2023 (Coronation Day)
- Commemorative Tree planting
- Opening of The Coronation Garden (Botanical Gardens)
Sunday, 7th May 2023
- 10.00 am Service of Thanksgiving at The Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity.
Monday, 8th May 2023 (Public Holiday)
- Children’s Reading Festival - Sponsored by the Ministry of Youth, Culture & Sport in partnership with the Bermuda Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., and the Department of Libraries & Archives.
