“Bermuda is built on hospitality. We are proud of the uniqueness of our heritage. And we boast an array of cultural and sporting events which are all aimed at enticing visitors to our shores,” said the Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Sport, the Hon. Owen K. Darrell, JP during an appearance (May 9) as a guest on The Greg Hill Show talk radio.
The program was broadcast live from the Grotto Bay Beach Resort & Spa to audiences in Boston and greater New England. Minister Darrell spoke with host Greg Hill and co-hosts Jermaine Wiggins and Courtney Cox to promote Bermuda as a year-round golf destination and a popular location for world-class sporting events.
During his interview, the Minister championed the island as a prime destination for golfer’s adding, “Bermuda boasts a temperate, pleasant year-round climate, it’s easily accessible with direct service and proximity to the tri-state area , and it allows guests to leave in the morning and book an afternoon tee time.”
The Minister also shared that Bermuda and Boston have built a strong connection with close partnerships from a healthcare and tourism standpoint. He also highlighted for the listening audience that Bermuda has a number if exciting upcoming events including:
