The Hon. Tinée S. Furbert, JP, MP, Minister of Youth, Social Development and Seniors attended the 2024 Global Summit of Women and its Ministerial Roundtable from May 9th - 12th, 2024.
The Minister presented on the United Nations Joint Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) Fund Program: Building Back Equal through Innovative Financing for Gender Equality and Women's Empowerment also known as the 'Building Back Equal Project'. This program aims to diversify Bermuda's economy by supporting the growth of new opportunities for empowering Bermuda's women, youth and persons with disabilities engaged in economic sectors, such as agriculture, cultural and creative industries and sustainable tourism.
The Building Back Equal Project aligns with the Government's national priorities and its commitment to ensuring the advancement of gender affairs.
