In celebration of CPR AED Awareness last week (June 1 – 7), the Bermuda Hospitals Board offered public Heartsaver CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) training. Minister of Health, Kim Wilson and her daughter Niara Simmons both attended.

“The CPR and AED training equips us with valuable life-saving skills and instills a sense of preparedness and confidence in handling emergencies,” said Minister Wilson. “I believe that we are both prepared to respond effectively in critical situations, and potentially save a life.

“Whether you're a healthcare professional, a parent, a teacher, or just a concerned citizen, having the skills to respond effectively to cardiac emergencies can significantly improve someone's chance of survival. CPR AED training is indeed essential and highly recommended for everyone.”
