Mirrors Cohort 19 Celebrates Completion of Coaching for Success Programme

On Saturday, June 21, 2025, Mirrors Cohort 19 concluded their 8-month Coaching for Success Community Programme. The transformative initiative, which began in October 2024 with a SuperCamp residential experience, supported 30 enrolled youth and 30 volunteer life coaches. Of the participants, 28 students completed the programme, while one transitioned overseas and one withdrew.
Designed for high school students ages 14–18, the Mirrors Programme focuses on social-emotional development, leadership, communication, and academic strategies. Through mentorship and experiential learning, students explore personal growth and purpose.
During the closing ceremony, participants shared heartfelt reflections. Student Ayanna Moniz expressed gratitude for the support from her coach and the programme, saying, “It taught me how to stay focused... I really appreciate it.” Na’Zhai Walker praised the programme for helping him persevere through challenges and form lasting connections.
Life coach Carla Bascome described the experience as mutually enriching: “It helped me grow as a person.” Interim recruitment manager and coach Alicia Trott applauded the dedication of the youth, highlighting the power of coaching to unlock potential.
Mirrors is now preparing for Cohort 20, running from October 2025 to May 2026. Those interested in becoming volunteer life coaches can register their interest starting July 14, 2025, by contacting Mirrors at 294-9291 or emailing mirrors@gov.bm.
