The Department of Health, Hamilton Health Centre will resume services from the Victoria Street Location from Monday April 3rd 2023. All services are by appointment only.

Travel Health Clinic

Provides country-specific travel health guidance, vaccines and an internationally-recognized certificate of vaccination. Travel consultations are conducted by a medical officer and health education is provided for safe and healthy travelling abroad.

Hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Yellow Fever Vaccines are available on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month only. Please plan your travel consultation at least 6-8 weeks in advance of travel date to avoid disappointment.)

Child Health Services

Provides services for infants and children up to five years of age (preschoolers). Services provided include immunizations, assessment of growth and development of infants and children, discussions with parents and care givers regarding any problems with feeding or behaviour. Advice is provided on illness and injury prevention and referrals are given to other agencies or specialists as required.

School and Adolescent Health Services

Provides advice to school aged children and adolescents and their parents in a confidential, non-judgmental environment. Information is provided on illness and injury prevention, nutrition, guidance on preventing pregnancy and sexually transmitted disease and promoting healthy lifestyles. A review of their immunization status is done. Students are given an opportunity to discuss emotional and physical health matters that concern them and referrals are given to other agencies or specialists, as required.

Communicable Disease Clinic

Provides for the diagnosis, treatment, education and counselling of persons with communicable diseases including sexually transmitted infections, HIV and AIDS.

Community Based Services for Communicable Disease

Communicable Disease Clinic (CDC) offer confidential access to information and advice on any sexual health issue regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation or if you have symptoms. The clinic offers tests to screen for common sexually transmitted infections (STIs) including HIV and offers vaccinations for Hepatitis B and HPV. In addition, our CDC have expertise in diagnosis and follow up care/treatment of TB (tuberculosis). STIs have a direct impact on sexual and reproductive health through stigmatization, infertility, cancers and pregnancy complications and can increase the risk of HIV/AIDS. Sexual and Reproductive Health Clinic

Provide integrated sexual health which offer pregnancy tests and advice, antenatal care, family planning consultations and provision, emergency contraception, advice about abortion, sexually transmitted infection screening, including HIV, cervical cancer screening including HPV vaccinations, breast examinations and referral for mammograms. Anyone who is sexually active needs help and advice on occasion, regardless of age, ethnicity, gender identity or sexuality. Your visit is completely private, the only time we would ever think about breaking this confidentiality would be if there was a strong risk of harm to you or others. Oral Health Clinic

Promotes the dental health of Bermuda's children and of those institutionalized persons eligible for care so as to provide Bermuda with a population which has experienced a minimum of dental diseases.
