Process for importing insects in Bermuda
Submit the completed application form to the Plant Protection Laboratory.
Your application will be reviewed and, if approved, an import permit will be issued. If your application is not approved, you may be required to provide additional information, or the insect that you are requesting to import may not be permitted entry.
The insect shipment must be delivered directly to the Plant Protection Lab for inspection. You will require a Release Form to collect the shipment from Customs at the Freight Shed, Baggage Hall, etc.) Shipments will be confiscated if the insects arrive without approval, are contaminated or deemed to be diseased, or if non-permitted insect host material is included.
