Ministry Weather Advisory

Residents will be aware that this afternoon the Bermuda Weather Service (BWS) issued a Severe Weather Watch, indicating that the Island is expected to experience serious weather conditions over the next two days.

Out of caution, the Ministry of National Security is encouraging the public to be mindful of the approaching weather conditions and take the necessary precautions. Main elements of concern are strong gusty winds in developing thunderstorms and rainfall accumulations that could result in some localised flooding. Those in particular who reside in low lying and coastal areas are encouraged to be vigilant.

The public is encouraged to stay abreast of local weather updates and warnings which can be followed online via www.weather.bm and on CableVision ch. 4.

As a general reminder the public should be aware that Hurricane Season officially begins June 1, and concludes November 30.
