New Registrar of Companies
The Ministry of Finance is pleased to announce that the new Registrar of Companies is Ken Joaquin CMA, a former Accountant General with the Ministry of Finance and former Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Health & Family Services.
With experience in both the public and private sector in Bermuda at the executive level for more than 15 years across diverse sectors of the Bermuda economy, Mr. Joaquin has most recently worked as an independent financial consultant in Canada, servicing international clients.
In Bermuda, his career path put him at the helm as President and CEO, of two publicly traded companies – Stevedoring Services Ltd. and Bermuda Aviation Services Ltd.
Functioning at the executive level for more than 15 years across diverse sectors of the Bermuda economy, Mr. Joaquin has industry experience with regard to strategic planning, organizational reviews and restructuring, professional services, information technology systems, public policy development, and government accounting and finance.
Bermuda’s new Registrar obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Western Ontario and did graduate studies in public accounting at McGill University, culminating in the professional designation as a Certified Management Accountant (CMA).
