Welcome to the 2024 Annual BerDIN Meeting!
The Bermuda Drug Information Network (BerDIN) will gather on November 1st, 2024, to discuss Bermuda’s drug and alcohol landscape. This year’s event brings together key stakeholders from various sectors to assess the current drug situation, share insights, and collaborate on solutions. With a focus on fostering dialogue, we aim to promote informed decision-making and progressive actions for the future.
Meeting Objectives:
1. To update BerDIN members on the current drug situation in Bermuda.
2. To provide a forum for dialogue on drug-related special interest topics.

Jermaine Galloway – Retired Police Officer, "Tall Cop Says Stop"

Officer Jermaine Galloway, known nationally as the Tall Cop, has worked in substance abuse prevention and education for over 20 years. After playing Division I basketball and receiving his BA in Sociology from the University of San Francisco, he worked as a law enforcement officer for 18 years. His various assignments included alcohol compliance and enforcement, CSI, DUI task force, officer mentoring, and field training.
In 2007, Jermaine started the company known as “Tall Cop Says Stop™.” He has conducted trainings in every US state and Canada, devoting thousands of hours each year to training professionals and communities on drug and alcohol prevention, education, and enforcement. The Tall Cop spends hundreds of hours in communities highlighting drug culture. To date, he has trained more than 800,000 professionals and conducted over 8,400 community scans.
His program, “High in Plain Sight,” is a nationally recognized program providing training, education, and enforcement strategies for community substance abuse issues. Jermaine has been featured in articles, books, and media interviews. In 2023, he started the “Tall Cop Says Stop” podcast, available on Spotify and Apple.
As of 2024, Jermaine Galloway has been certified as an International Instructor by the International Association of Directors of Law Enforcement Standards and Training.
