The primary responsibility of the Office of the Tax Commissioner (OTC) is to administer the collection of the taxes and duties in accordance with legislative responsibilities.
The Office of the Tax Commissioner:
- Enforces the tax legislation;
- Maintains the Government of Bermuda’s eTax online tax filing system
- To reduce receivables by $15M.
- To modernize the OTC operations and procedures to effectively collect government revenue.
- To increase taxpayer education by providing more methods and opportunities for learning.
- To further impact taxpayers' use of electronic filing and payment methods.
